Hello

I'm Kara, an acupuncturist and practitioner of Oriental Medicine based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

My journey into the world of holistic healing began with a profound experience in Costa Rica, where I discovered the transformative power of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. This led me to pursue my education at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, where I earned both my Master's and Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM).

After completing my studies, I embarked on an exciting adventure as an acupuncturist aboard cruise ships, providing healing treatments at sea for 14 months. Following this unique experience, I established a successful private practice in Western North Carolina, where I had the privilege of helping countless individuals on their path to wellness for five fulfilling years.

Driven by a sense of exploration and a desire for new experiences, my family and I embarked on a six-month sabbatical adventure in Costa Rica and Roatan, Honduras. This period of rejuvenation and reflection reinforced my passion for holistic healing and inspired me to continue my journey in a new location.

I'm thrilled to call Pittsburgh our home and have joined Michelle Wheeler's esteemed clinic, Wind in the Willows Acupuncture. I'm dedicated to bringing the principles of Oriental Medicine to the community, helping individuals find relief from pain and achieve balance, so they can live vibrant, harmonious lives.
