Welcome to the third pillar of my Holistic Health concept: Nutrition.
This one is quite important. We are what we eat. TRULY. If we follow everything else under the realm of holistic health and ignore nutrition, then we are gonna have some issues.
This category is extensive and will include topics such as:
The digestive system
Meal plans
Grocery shopping
Reading labels
Recipes
How to have a fully nutritious meal (what makes up a perfect plate)
Supplements/herbs
Healthy eating habits
Burning carbs versus fats
Hydration
Nutrition-related health conditions
Foods to benefit health conditions
Tongue diagnosis
Feeding your children and partner
Kitchen makeovers
Dietary restrictions
Food sensitivities
Understanding what your poop is telling you!
Foods to avoid and to consume based on your Chinese medicine pattern.
And more! Comment or contact me if you'd like to learn about something specific, I always love to hear your ideas.
I view food as medicine, as did all ancient cultures around the world. I will have meal plans available on the website soon as well as supplement protocols to assist in improving your nutrition. Contact me if there's a specific meal plan or supplement protocol you would like to see. Meal plans & Supplement protocols Coming soon!
I believe knowledge is empowering too, and I will often explain how things work within the body and why nutrients are crucial to living a healthy life. I love videos on this subject and will include YouTube links and videos as appropriate. It's hard to ignore your gut when you know what's happening within! Food should be something we have a positive and happy relationship with as well, and strict dieting or unhealthy eating styles will be discouraged as I provide resources for better alternatives.
I also love the idea of eating like the Europeans! Have you read the book, French Women Don't Get Fat yet? It's amazing!!
Here's a great video to demonstrate the way of eating I dream of (keep in mind, we don't all live in France and our western culture does not always have access to the good ingredients nor the portion size support required for this video. Eat and drink responsibly!).
